The “profileplasty” or surgery of the profile tries to create a better aesthetic balance between the forehead, the nose and the chin. Projected or retreated jaws may be corrected with surgery through an internal access (in the mouth) without externally visible scars.
The most common procedure is the introduction of a hard silicone implant between the bone and the soft tissue of the chin. It is a rapid procedure, which can be done separately or in combination with rhinoplasty or facelift. There are several formats and sizes.
